Now that I've settled down

I totally forgot, in my excitement about the Devils winning, that I had a bunch of nice things to say about the Sens. :)

This was a team I really disliked during the regular season. (It didn't help that they beat the Sharks 9-3) But watching them through the playoffs, I've grown to quite like them, especially Lalime, Hossa, Havlat and Spezza. (Okay, Spezza I like from ficcage but the rest I like from watching them play) I like that they didn't just give up after being down 3-1 in the series. They played somewhat schizophrenically throughout the playoffs, either being really on or being really off, but when they were on, they were great to watch.

I actually got a bit sniffly seeing the Sens after the end of the game because they looked so fucking sad. And Hossa was just ... laying there.

But they have a lot to be proud of. I think they've earned everyone's respect by this point.

*hugs to all the Sens fans*

I saw that you added me as a friend.

First off, hi!

Second, you're a hockey fan. Probably bigger than I am, which I expect and hey, no worries.

Third, you're a sports fanfiction writer! That's excellent, even though you seem to be more slash-oriented and I write het stuff whenever it's a romance deal. I've been looking to connect with some sports fic writers and chat and share and stuff.

Fourth, you're a friend of fetisha. That's good enough for me.

Fifth, you live in my area.

I usually don't randomly add people or add people who friend me out of the blue due to my friends page being out of control as is, but you seem to be an addition I can enjoy.

That was a long-winded way of saying I'm glad you friended me.

If you want to check out some of my stuff, I can link you to my page on adultfanfiction.com, or maybe you already know of it? I used to be at ff.net before they became Nazis.

So anyway, hi and stuff.

Hi there! Thanks for adding me back! :)

I've actually only been really following hockey for a year or so, but what I lack in experience, I make up for in enthusiasm. (or something like that)

Fetisha rocks. :D

*shakes fist at ff.net* I didn't have anything there but I have friends who did, and I was mad as hell when they used 9/11 as an excuse to take everything down without warning.

I would love to read your fics! And you're on AIM right now so I'll ask you for the link. :)

*sniffles* My boys, I cried for them. In fact, I bet they cried for them later in the dressing room. *snuggles them all tightly*
Well, to every cloud there is a silver lining. At least now I can write a lot of nice cozy comfortable summerfic about them without being bothered with things like the Cup.

I think some of them were already crying before they got there.

And I'm very much looking forward to nice cozy comfortable summerfic. :)

I felt bad for the Sens too. They looked so sad on the ice =\
But I'm glad NJ is moving on :)

Yeah, I didn't get the impression at the beginning of the series that they really wanted to win, but it really showed at the end.

Same here. :)

Random Jason thing; "Spezza had the air of yesterday's may about him as his peers (Ilya etc) seemed to have outpaced him.... However his proformance has been truely outstanding especaily given that he played barely eleven minutes.... In the press scrum afterwards Spezza managed to say nothing of any consequence whatsoever, truely a Canadian icon in the making."

It's true he never says anything interesting :) I am waiting for hm to have a catch phrase like Jiggy

Spezza managed to say nothing of any consequence whatsoever, truely a Canadian icon in the making.

*dies* See Jiggy says the same thing over and over (and over) again because he's kind of sweet and nervous and a bit self-conscious in English.

If Jason ever says anything about Carlo I think I will choke. :)

If Jason ever says anything about Carlo I think I will choke. :)

*explodes* dude! choke at least

Wait. Who's writing slash about Spezz?

...if I were so inclined, I could probably get some mileage out of how basically the entire Binghamton team spent the season living in the same apartment complex, couldn't I?

Bernie (bkm5191) did. :)

Hmm, I'm sure she could do a lot with that information ... *grin*
