At least some of the shows I like have good ratings

I am actually disappointed that there's no new episode of Revenge tonight. I'm always so backlogged on TV that I can't even remember the last time I was disappointed when a TV show skipped a week. And... I wouldn't even say it's necessarily a great show either, it's just really fun to watch.

I'm liking all of the mid-season replacements that I started watching: Alcatraz, The River and The Finder. They all have bad ratings and are likely to be cancelled LOL. Alcatraz has an interesting mythology and neat Lost-style twists, The River is kind of a fun guilty pleasure thing and The Finder is quirky, kind of like The Unusuals.

I realized that I'm especially harsh on Grimm and Once Upon a Time because I've read really good treatments of fairy tales in comics and they don't even come close. I probably would have thought OUaT sucks anyway even without the comparison, but that just makes it worse. I guess it's that thing where you really like a book and you're disappointed by the movie version, hehe. (No, OUaT is terrible just on its own.)

I've stopped watching OUaT because it is just SO BAD now. I honestly found myself rolling my eyes far too much for it to be worth it. Too bad. I liked the premise of it.

I still like Grimm, though!

I think they have good actors so I feel fine while I'm watching, but at the end of the episode I always feel meh. It's so close to being a good show, though! So disappointing.

I think Grimm has gotten better and better and I do enjoy it, but I feel like there could still be more. I'm totally spoiled by the comic book treatment of fairy tales. :P I feel like someone should have just taken Fables and made it a TV show, although that's probably too dark for network TV. Maybe on cable.

Dude from fables to grimm? From fables to OUaT?

Bigby would eat them to put them out of their misery.

Fables would be so lovely as a TV show if you could use the cast/resources from OUaT. But it's too dark for a network show, I think. Maybe HBO could do a good job.

I JUST watched the episode of Revenge from the 15th. I really don't know how I feel about it. Did it seem to you like they changed what they had in mind for that episode's climax somewhere along the line? Compared to the premiere it seemed like they totally veered and it didn't make a lot of sense to me. I was hoping there would be a new episode of it yesterday so that I could see how they followed that up, but now that there isn't one I'm even more curious to see what the next move will be.

I'm a little miffed by the misdirection although various fans had already guessed that it was going to be someone else being shot (I think some even guessed Tyler!). I would have preferred something like Daniel being shot but not dead, or preferably that he was actually dead, but that would be a hard storyline to write.

I don't even remember the premiere all that clearly! I've heard that the rest of the season will deal with the trial for Tyler's murder.
