It was Patty's 1000th game yesterday! *weepy* And right on cue, he scored the first goal of the game. It was interesting to watch his interview. I think he got a little sentimental at times! Patty! Sentimental! ♥ Joe also seemed to get a bit sentimental talking about how Patty is a great player and person, which was sweet and disturbing at the same time.
Meanwhile, Jamie Langenbrunner also played his 1000th game and also scored a goal. JMFJ had the chance to tie the game with a minute left on a penalty shot, but umm, didn't get it up. *coughs* I understand that he was committed to deking, but it would have been cool to see him pull it off. :)
Johnson was to the point: "I thought I made a good move. He made a better save."
It kind of reminds me of Zito giving up the game-winning home run or whatever and saying, "It was a good pitch." Not a bad thing, I like that it was his reaction, and he's going to be ready to go if he's put in that position again.
