Petr is one step removed from being a defenseman

From Nabokov return coming soon:

Evgeni Nabokov might return to the lineup for the Sharks' home match Wednesday against Nashville, but the more likely scenario is that the goaltender comes back Saturday against Minnesota.

Thank God! Schaefer's been on the front line for way too long already. :P

Flan, Maria, have you seen? Fedoruk's been playing on the Ducks top line with Selanne and McDonald and doing really well! He's a really fast skater. Fedoruk Is Happy to Assist:

Todd Fedoruk isn't about to proclaim himself as a scoring power forward in the mold of a John LeClair or a Todd Bertuzzi, but the 6-foot-2, 241-pound left wing is showing why there's more to his game than dropping his gloves.

Lately, I've been getting more and more concerned about Petr's play. Not that he's been playing badly; he doesn't have that many goals/points, but he's always been a streaky kinda' guy. Anyway, my worry is that he's one step removed from being a defenseman.

Let's look at the evidence: he plays the point on the PP, he often skates backwards (well), he blocks shots on the PK, he's often the last man back and last night he stripped the puck from a forward preventing a good scoring chance, he takes a ton of hooking penalties, he leaps in the air to keep pucks in the zone, err, and other disturbing stuff that I can't remember.

[Edit: Oh man, our starting QB (who was our 4th string) is a rodeo cowboy and our backup is "The Bachelor". If it were any other team, fans would be hysterical (for a different reason).]
