Joe Pavelski

Let's go, Helminen!

Say, does anyone know of other means to watch the (Hockey) World Championships (in the US) that's cheaper than buying the pass (which is at least 25 Euros) from the IIHF web site? Shamefully, I kind of want to see how Team USA does. *sigh*

It's time for the man of the hour to step up his game and take control in Detroit, and that man is... Dwight Helminen!!!

But if he doesn't, maybe this guy can do something (uploaded for tersa):

That's just way too many Joes. Also, someone in the playoffs with "flu-like symptoms" actually having the flu? Craziness!

Can we have the Olympics every year? :P

Oh, my heart

What a ridiculous day for Bay Area sports.

Giants win in the 12th inning, Patrick Willis is signed through 2016 and most importantly, the Sharks come back from 3-1 in the 3rd period in Detroit to win it in OT and take a 3-0 series lead.

I will flail about this madly tomorrow, but for now I'll just report that I'm clairvoyant. When we were down 3-1 in the 3rd and I was thinking we'd probably lose (and was okay with it), I got the thought that it would be funny if we came back to win 4-3 (which was the score in both Game 1 and 2). Then I thought that Patty was going to score a goal (in regulation) because he just had that look to him.

And when it went to OT, I was pretty convinced it was going to be him. It's always the guy who looks kind of lazy and not doing all that much in regulation who comes up with the goal in OT because he's fresh. I have learned something in my years of being a Petr Sykora fan! :P

Whoa, TSN feed shows Devin nuzzling Patty's neck after he scored. Awkward.
