What a way to start the day!

I wake up, come read LJ, and there are three separate mentions that today is Hatcher's birthday. :( Thanks a lot, guys.

I'm thinking of volunteering at the SPCA. They require a 6 month commitment of at least 3 hours a week, though, and I don't know if I can commit for that long. I should be able to, though, since I'm not planning to move out of the city or anything like that, but it's still up in the air. I'm going to an orientation tomorrow morning, so that should help me make up my mind.

I love the Grey Album. It's a remix of Jay-Z's Black Album and the Beatles' White Album, and I haven't heard either, but the remix is really great. :)

My workouts were taking too long. Partly I just rest too much between sets. Instead of resting less, I just decided to do more exercises in a set (the term is superset! Ooh...) and that shaved off some time. My other problem is that cardio was too hard and boring, so I started doing 5 minute intervals of cardio at higher intensity between sets, so it's split up and I don't have to deal with long, boring stretches.

My heart rate should be 163 at the upper bound of the "cardio zone" (85% of max heart rate), but it's really in the 170-180 range pretty much the whole time, but it doesn't feel particularly tiring to me. Does that mean I'm really unfit? :(

The day of horror continues...

For those of you from Michigan who are wondering what Rebecca's post is referring to, I feel morally obliged to give a warning, just in case the sheer horror of the billboard suddenly coming into view causes a massive pile up.

As personally witnessed by joolzie:
there was a huge billboard on the side of the freeway for some MRI center or something and it said "It doesn't get any bigger than this" (I think, it definitely had "bigger" in it) and there was a picture (with identification!) of Hatcher lounging. :(

If I had a camera I would have taken a picture! It was really upsetting.

You can tell the Michigan people that it's on I-75 south, around Jocelyn road. :P

So there you go! Think of it as a real life game of Pokemon Snap. You know, the one where you go around taking photographs of monsters. :P
