I have this big hard disk and I don't know what to do with it

I have enough sleep today, so I'm not quite as rageful as I was yesterday, but I'll try! I'm going to the dentist, but I don't mind that, so it won't put me in a bad mood. And I may kind of like going to the dentist.

So yes! I have 90 gigs of space, and nothing to do with it! I'm going to head over to Alex's at some point and copy the entire MP3 collection (Alex's, Chip's and mine), which will take up about 40 gigs. I don't know. I only get 1 gig of bandwidth for porn newsgroups every month.

The drive was manufactured in January of this year, which means that it should have a life of another 2-3 years or so. Probably less because it's refurbished. It makes me think that I could upgrade my motherboard (and processor) and then run the two drives in a mirrored RAID array, because I think there are some controllers that can handle making arrays with drives of different capacities.

But if I upgrade my motherboard and processor, then I should upgrade my video card, because my current Radeon 8500 would be a bottleneck. See, this is exactly the kind of thinking that leads to us geeks having a computer to geek ratio of 5:1. We see a spare CD-ROM drive lying around and think, "Hmm, I could make a new machine around this."

But at the same time, I'm bumming around only working part-time right now, so I really shouldn't be spending money on upgrading my machine, especially since I'm playing games from like 5 years ago that don't need it. I could get Doom 3, Painkiller, etc, but I have a big pile of other games that I haven't played yet. It's so nice in some ways to be 5 years behind cos' the hardware and games are so cheap.

And about Anachronox, which I'm playing right now and really love, it's basically a console-style RPG like the Final Fantasy series, made using the Quake 2 engine, with lots of humor and a compelling storyline. You should be able to get it real cheap (< $10) on Ebay or from an online retailer if you're interested in checking it out.

I love the Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Vanilla Red Tea. I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, so I can only drink black tea when I have enough sleep, which is on the rare side, but I really love that whole black tea, milk and sugar thing. And this tea is caffeine-free, but goes well with milk and sugar, so it makes me very happy.

You know, me and my roomie are like computer retarded so it amazes me how much you know. All I know is that I push buttons and stuff happens. Sometimes.

That made my brain hurt. *clutches head*
