BioI'm a huge hockey fan. My team is the San Jose Sharks, but I get Center Ice, and I watch a lot of other teams' games as well.
I also write hockey slash fiction. That's the reason I got an LJ in the first place--to keep up with other hockey slash writers.
Almost all of my posts are hockey-related during the NHL season. I also talk about other sports, TV, movies, books and computer games. I rarely post about personal things, and my posts aren't friends-locked (unless I'm bitching about people I know IRL, hehe!)

So how does a girl who grew up in a tropical country that didn't even have an ice skating rink for most of my life fall in love with hockey? Blame it on a video game.
I've always loved computer games and video games, and one of the games we picked up for PS1 was NHL 2001 (with Owen Nolan on the cover, woo!) and I had no idea what was going on at first, and just went around cross checking everyone viciously in the back, which was hilarious and tons of fun.
After a while, I learned that there were other things to do besides cross check people in the back, and really liked the game. Then one day I saw an actual hockey game on TV, and I recognised all the names of the players! Watching hockey was as fun as playing the game!
And that's how I got interested in hockey. :)

I'll be extremely scornful if you kick up a fuss about being defriended in response, though. :P

- I'm Chinese. I don't like to identify myself as Asian, because I think it's not very descriptive--I identify myself as human, but I don't go around referring to myself as that. :P I know we all look the same, but Koreans and Japanese are just as foreign to me as to you. Unless you're, you know, Korean or Japanese. *ahem*
- I'm a software developer.
- My favourite hockey player is Marian Hossa.
- I'm the friendliest misanthrope you will ever meet.
