Stupid ancient cable box

I was at work from 9.30 AM to 8.30 PM yesterday. *weeps*

I was starving but too sleepy/tired to get food so I popped a couple handfuls of granola and settled into bed to watch the home run derby... only to find that my cable box had been on the fritz and I got 4 hours of an error message on the screen. :( :( :(

So how was it? Pretty good? From the reaction on ESPN this morning I don't think anything Josh Hamliton spectacular happened so I guess I didn't miss too much. Hope the cable box doesn't flake out today.

I think the NL is going to get owned by the AL today. Again.

It was just okay. Albert had to do a "swing off" to get into the second round, so St Louis was excited about that.

Myr and I were talking today about how they should change up the HR Derby because these guys are just too tired at the end. And we often bored halfway through. This one went three hours.

I thought they should just have a one-round competition, but Myr's idea was better (that they should only invite six guys, and only have two players advance, so limit it to two rounds)

That could work. I toyed briefly with the idea of having all of the position players participate, but have it be elimination style where if you don't hit a home run you get knocked out, but that would probably be too random. Perhaps you get 3 chances per round to get the home run? That would still end up being shorter than 3 hours I think, haha.
